All done!

It may take you a couple of weeks to get used to the new setup, especially if you’re used to being able to see the side of your car in your wing mirrors without moving your head.

But stick with it and you should find your blind spots have been almost completely eliminated.

How to test your new setup

While driving down the highway look at a car in the lane beside you that you are about to pass.

As you pull alongside the car you should be able to see it out of the corner of your eye.

Then, as you move past the car and it disappears from your peripheral vision, you should be able to start seeing it in your wing mirror.

As you pull further ahead and the car starts to disappear from your wing mirror it should appear in your rear view mirror.

This means you should be able to see cars in the lanes beside you at all times, with only small movements of your head.

But I need to be able to see the side of my car to park!

The most common complaint people have about this setup is that they can no longer see the side of their car without moving their head.

This is necessary to avoid blind spots while driving.

To view the side of your car while parking simply lean over to one side or the other just like you did to setup the mirrors in steps 3 and 4.
