Hyundai Veloster

The Hyundai Veloster caused quite a stir when it was first launched, being the only regular passenger car to have two doors on one side, and one door on the other. The idea behind Hyundai's approach is to ensure that rear seat passengers exit the car on the safer footpath side, rather than the road side. The second generation Veloster continues this assymetrical door approach, and manages to pull it off so well that most people don't even notice it. The Veloster is sold in three different variants in the UAE. The base version has a 2.0L engine, while the mid-spec version carries the same engine with a range of enhanced features. The top model is the Veloster Turbo which features a smaller but more powerul 1.6L turbo engine with a range of further enhanced features. Hyundai do make even faster versions of the Veloster but unfortunately these aren't sold in the UAE due to being offered exclusively with a manual transmission.
